This is the story of a couple in their late 80's who have been married 65 years.  The wife for the past decade has been on a health kick, believing eating healthy food would prolong their lives and keep them relatively well.  The husband is a penny pincher.  He doesn't like spending money and believes all their financial savings have made a good life for them.

One day the Lord called this couple home.  Upon arriving in heaven they were greeted by a welcoming angel showing them their new home.  It was lovely...more beautiful than anything on earth.  The husband asked immediately "This looks expensive.  How much is this going to cost me?"  The angel replied "You're in heaven.  Your home costs you nothing."  The angel took them to the golf course.  A course so magnificent it brought tears to the couple's eyes.  The husband said "The green fees must be outrageous here."  The angel replied "You're in heaven now.  You can play here every day and it won't cost you a penny."   The angel next showed the couple the lake with their own boat fully equipped for entertaining and fishing.  Again, bigger and more beautiful than anything they had seen on earth.  The husband said "Ok, now this is surely going to cost me."  And the angel replied "You're in heaven.  This boat is yours to use as often as you like with no charge or expenses."

The husband paused for a moment, turned to his wife and said "You and your bran muffins.  We could have been here 10 years ago."
