Hello everyone, it's Ronda with the weekly HPV News;
Sounds like the weather is going to change, at least for the day, well not to worry, we are heading fast into Spring and even a little snow isn't going to get us down after the great Winter we've had!
The week began with Worship on Sunday Morning, again with a fair number of friends and family. In the afternoon the St. John Ladies paid us their monthly visit. We look forward to them coming and Thank You so much for sharing your singing with us. For those that are Lawrence Welk Fans, the days activities ended with a viewing of one of his shows.
Monday, we did the regular things, Coffee, News, DDN, and Trivia before lunch. In the afternoon it was Birthday party time for , Jeanette Eide. many friends and family gathered to help her celebrate ...and have some special "Birthday" cake! Of course being Monday, we also had Bingo, watched the St. Johns Video, and the got things ready for Supper Club. On the menu , Taco Salad.
Tuesday, the Popcorn Machine was going full force and most everyone was enjoying a fresh popped bag of Popcorn. The readers were here and paid us a visit. Their reading is improving evry week, and we Love having them! We finished the morning with, DDN and Trivia. Afternoon brought One to One Visits, Coffee, Cocoa and some reading out of the book we have been sharing, Excercise Group, Nail Care, and a game of Wheel of Fortune.
Wednesday, Coffee, Worship, and Trivia were the morning activities. Deb in acitvities has started something new for Wednesday Lunch. She picks a table each week and decks it out for lunch. This has become a hit for lunchtime. After lunch they gathered in the lobby for Rhythm Band. Pastor Dean was here for Bible Study. Later, they played the Price is Right, read the News, had a quick few games of Bingo, and believe it or not, Lenten Services started. Ash Wednesday began the Lenten Season. We are sharing our services with the Rural Parishes, everyone is welcome to attend, sevices are at 10:00 pm.
Thursday, Coffee, News, and Trivia filled our morning. In the afternoon there were One to One Visits, reading from our book and enjoying a cup of Cocoa. Then it was time to Excercise. Happy Half Hour, Nail Care, and Church Bulliten Folding ended the day.
It's Friday, the Carmel Rolls are in the oven, and the halls have the aroma of a bakery! We will enjoy the fresh baked rolls while reading the Local News, DDN, and Trivia. In the afternoon we will play our weekly Dice Game, last week's winner,Hazel Monson. Congrats! The afternoon will bring the Number Game, Quicky Bingo, and Friday Night at the Movies.
